My Counselling
Approach

In counselling therapy, I believe in providing a safe  space for you to explore your thoughts and emotions. I work with whatever you choose to bring and my aim is to help you through whatever this is.  This can include areas such as depression, anxiety, loss, bereavement and experiences of trauma.

My focus is to provide a comfortable space for you to bring whatever you feel the need to discusss.

I have a counselling style that has a foundation based on my years of nursing and caring for patients and so is very people focused.  I endeavour to create a warm environment, that creates a place of trust and allows an avenue to discuss the issues you bring.

Psychodynamic counselling looks at the roots and depths of your issues and takes time within the therapeutic relationship to explore the significance of these and for us to see what emerges.

In reaching out for counselling this is an important step to take time for yourself and your well-being.
